Fire Department / Industry Roundtable Discussion
Wednesday, February 6, 2008
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Room 503 -504

The Industrial Fire, Safety, & Security Seminar (IFSS) is a premier industrial emergency event for the purpose of bringing together all aspects of industrial prevention and response. One of the key components of prevention and response is our partnerships between the municipal sector and private sector. We recognize that a large emergency event inside a manufacturing facility, or on a city roadway and railway, requires the response of both municipal and industrial resources and assets. For this reason we created Municipal Volunteer Fire Department Roundtable. The purpose of the Roundtable will be to open dialogue between industry and municipal fire departments on the unique challenges municipal fire departments face when responding to a Petro-Chemical facility. The Roundtable will be moderated by the State Firemen’s and Fire Marshal’s Association of Texas (SFFMA).
